Gutier Seijo nos acerca una nueva maravilla con Mixtura Blue, un monovarietal de Mencía berciana procedente de una única viña. Fiel a su proyecto, se vendimia manualmente y cuidadosamente se selecciona cada racimo asegurando una calidad mayúscula. Realiza una crianza de 12 meses en barrica, y posteriormente se transfiere a un fudre de roble austríaco donde reposa otros 24 meses. El resultado es un tinto fino, elegante y lleno de matices del que tan solo hay poco más de 3.300 botellas. Un lujo.

The floral and aromatic 2021 Mixtura Blue, identified with a black label and a dash of blue on a corner, was produced with Mencía grapes from a vineyard in Bierzo, a 60-year-old plot in the zone of Cacabelos. It fermented with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in well-seasoned and neutral 225-liter oak barrels. It matured in the barrels for one year and spent a further year in Austrian oak foudre. It has notes of wild berries and herbs with a spicy twist and is very showy and attractive. It's medium-bodied, spicy and fresh, with notes of acid berries and spice, very fine tannins and a tasty, long and clean finish. 3,319 bottles were filled in August 2023.
This shows herbal and floral aromas woven in with subtle red berry character. The palate is juicy, with crunchy fruit and a medium to full body. This is a blend of mencía from Bierzo and caino from Val de Avia. Drink now.
