The Wine Advocate:
Like the other offerings I tasted from this cave cooperative, the 2016 Maury Sec L'Akme was matured exclusively in concrete. A blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Carignan, it's a terrific example of what this black-schist terroir can produce. It's full-bodied and concentrated, with creamy-supple tannins, but it also has a fine-grained structure built on notes of crushed stone. Waves of mixed cherries and some peppery spice linger on the finish.
