And now that they have started, I hope they don't stop. Releasing magnums, that is! So the NV La Bota de Amontillado 69 Magnum is from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, from the pago Miraflores vineyard. It is relatively young (15-20 years) Amontillado from a tonel filled with wine from a solera in their winery in the Carretera de Jerez. It has some creaminess and is approachable in the nose, with a roundish palate - within the sharpness of these marine amontillados - that is quite tasty. This will be bottled in magnums only and released around the summer. They expect to fill some 650 magnums. - Luis Gutiérrez.
