Descrição

Desde o século XV que a dinastia dos Álvarez de Toledo cultiva e vinifica cepas em Bierzo. Dando continuidade à vocação e tradição familiar, os descendentes da família elaboraram este vinho de forma cuidada e artesanal. Um projeto de recuperação de vinhedos familiares com mais de 100 anos dá origem a este tinto de Mencía suculento, equilibrado e aveludado.

Decanter:

Clearly, there was real ambition here to make something smart and now we have the results. Almost nonchalantly floods the mouth with oak, forest fruits and plum, the texture bewitching, focusing on the fruit, yet providing the edge of tannin that is an integral part of the wine's pedigree. Winemaking of a high order.

Wine Enthusiast:

A dark berry aroma is heady and warm, with a flush, wide palate. A bolt of acidity gives energy to blackberry and spice flavors, while this Mencía doesn't falter on a plush finish.
