Avaliação dos peritos

James Suckling:

A rich and dense Rioja here, showing sweet blueberries, blackberries, cocoa beans and delicate spices. A full-bodied and flavorful palate, full of blackberries that are coated by tight and integrated tannins. Satisfying finish. Drink or hold.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Las Cenizas, the village red from Cenicero, is a modern Tempranillo with 14.2% alcohol and a generous palate still marked by the time in oak, 13 months in 20% new French barrels, 20% used French barrels and 60% American barrels. It should integrate the oak with more time, but it's still too oaky for my taste. 14,630 bottles were filled in April 2022. This should be released in 2023, when the wine should show more integration of the oak...

Tim Atkin:

Unlike the other two reds from the Hernáiz brothers, this pure Tempranillo is sourced from three parcels in Cenicero rather than around the bodegas in Baños de Rioja. It's a richer, plusher style, aged in French and American oak, with plenty of colour, plum, blueberry and bramble fruit and sweet, spicy oak. 2023-28.
