"The old-vine, classical 2015 Finca la Emperatriz Viura Cepas Viejas will age for a further year in concrete starting with the 2016 vintage, as they think it's released (and drunk) too young. They like 2010 for current drinking. 2015 was an early harvest for whites and the must fermented in new, second and third use oak barrels with indigenous yeasts and matured in 225- and 500-liter oak barrels for ten months. You might like it or not, but this has a distinct personality with diesel-like aromas. It's balsamic and medicinal with good complexity. The palate shows more the ripeness of the year and could do with a little more freshness. 5,200 bottles and 100 magnums were filled in July 2016".
Los hermanos Hernáiz son los propietarios de la Finca La Emperatriz. Con la incorporación de nuevos viñedos a este proyecto vitivinícola, este nombre es el que agrupa en la actualidad a todos sus vinos.

El vino no estaba bien. De las dos botellas la primera no me convenció. La segunda la tirépq estaba peor que la anterior
esperaba algo mas de el, seguramente mejorara bastante en los proximos 3 ó 4 años. final algo corto para lo que yo preveia
