Avaliação dos peritos

Tim Atkin:

Amancio comes from a comparatively large parcel of 16.5 hectares called La Veguilla on clay limestone soils at 490 metres. Dense, chalky and appealingly fresh and focused, it's a big that carries its power lightly, with ample tannins and concentration, scented new French oak and a long future ahead of it. 2023-33

James Suckling:

A riper style of Rioja with modern, wooded tannins that give this wine a sleek and firm texture. Lots of blue fruit and blackberries on the palate. Chewy, yet polished. Drinkable now, but better in 2021 and onwards.

Jeb Dunnuck:

The 2016 Amancio is a softer, sexier version of the 2017 and offers a stunning array of black and blue fruits, graphite, violets, and flowery incense. With plenty of background oak, full-bodied richness, and a plush, opulent mouthfeel, it stays nicely grounded, with a good core of acidity and plenty of tannins. It's going to be a treat comparing the 2015, 2016, and 2017 over the coming 20-30 years, but one thing is for sure, these are all brilliant wines!
