The Wine Advocate:

Tasted next to the 2020, the 2021 Supersónico is a fresh Garnacha from an old vineyard at 1,030 meters in altitude on slate soils close to Calatayud that is now in conversion to organic farming. The grapes were handpicked on September 28, fermented with 100% full clusters in oak vats with indigenous yeasts, and it matured in used 500-liter barrels and 2,500-liter oak foudres. The wine finished at 13.5% alcohol and with mellow acidity and freshness. It's subtle and serious, with flowers and herbs and is elegant more than powerful. There's a lot more grip in the tannins here, more energy and a nice balance that should make it age nicely. 8,742 bottles were filled in March 2023.

Tim Atkin:

High altitude Garnacha, more than 80 years old, grown at 1,030m on slate and sandy soils. A light and fruity red wine with rustic authenticity, this is fermented with 100% whole bunch and foot trodden in vats and cement, and then spends 12 months in foudre of 2,500L. Incredibly herbal with thyme and rosemary coupled with the sweetest red cherry core, the wine finishes with a peachy, orange twist. 2024 - 2027
