Wine Enthusiast:

This dark garnet wine has a bouquet of black cherry, cassis, crumbled sage and a hint of leather. It is smooth on the palate, with velvety tannins, moderate acidity and cherry pie, Chambord, eucalyptus, licorice and dried thyme flavors that evaporate into a fruit-filled finish.

Decanter:

Intense and vibrant, this is a Gran Reserva of great freshness and balance. Sour cherry, wild strawberry, cranberry and pomegranate, drenched in blood orange juice, dominate. Mineral character to the tannins supporting the intense savouriness of bayleaf, wild oregano and tarragon. Deft use of oak which remains in the background, adding depth through spicy nutmeg, clove and pink pepper. A fine broody layer of tobacco and dark chocolate introduces a subtle earthy veil. Approachable yet complex.

James Suckling:

A juicy, fruit-expressive Rioja but it remains restrained and very elegant. Hints of sweet spices and walnuts to the red plums, berries and tangerines. Medium body on the palate with firm yet caressing tannins that wrap it up before a long but subtle finish. Vegan. Drink or hold.
