The Wine Advocate:

The 2011 La Corte is 100% Sangiovese executed in a dark and savory style. This is a delicious and modern interpretation with soft spice and cherry that are woven together with fine and steady stitch work. Unlike the 2010 vintage that is tighter and sharper in texture, this warm vintage expression feels soft and supple in the mouth. It puts up no resistance as it glides smoothly over the palate. La Corte reveals dense concentration and savory after notes of smoke and crushed mineral. This wine is at the beginning of its long evolution.

James Suckling:

A very finely textured and balanced red with currants, blackberries and minerals. Full body, integrated tannins and a fresh and clean finish. Very pretty. Drink in 2017, but so beautiful now.
