Este Malbec 100% expressa claramente a identidade de Paraje Altamira, uma das zonas mais distintas do Vale de Uco. Apresenta aromas de frutos vermelhos e pretos maduros — ameixas e amoras — juntamente com subtis matizes florais que evocam violetas e uma delicada marca mineral. No paladar, apresenta-se firme, mas ágil, com boa estrutura e uma textura harmoniosa que acompanha a sua intensidade.

Este es un resumen de Piedra Infinita, Canal Uco (dos viñedos propios) y un vecino productor, siempre en Altamira, en las partes más altas por sobre los 1.100 metros, de este zona del Valle de Uco. Un malbec marcado por las frutas rojas, intenso, jugoso. No tiene crianza en barricas, solo en concreto, para subrayar la idea de lugar y sentido de origen. Aquí lo tienen, frutas y hierbas, taninos finos y firmes, de una de las zonas estelares, de la Mendoza más andina.

The 2023 Polígonos Paraje Altamira Malbec offers textbook examples of the region's classically intense yet weightless, fragrant aromatic profile and builds upon it with time in the glass. The palate is sumptuous yet lifted, seamlessly transitioning to a rich, slow-moving finish that combines vertical lift with horizontal power while regenerating the floral perfume first found on the nose. While the Polígonos Gualtallary Malbec bottling may be the more immediately impressive, this could prove to be the more complete wine with time.

James Suckling:

Excellent depth and freshness, with tons of blackberries, violets, mussels and stone. Juicy, full-bodied and flavorful but very cool. Nothing sweet here. Tannins are fresh, silty and plentiful. Super focused and comfortably chewy at the end. Drink from 2025.

Part of the Zuccardi family’s Poligonos range of Uco Valley 'village wines', this is sourced from fruit grown at 1,100m above sea level in Paraje Altamira – and it’s an absolute delight. Without lacking in plump mid-palate fleshiness or detailed red fruit, it’s so elegant, fragrant, silky textured and pure.
