Avaliação dos peritos

James Suckling:

A near perfect example of this wine. Amazing aromas of oyster shells, iodine, stones, smoke, blueberries, blackberries, ash and graphite. Medium-bodied with firm and racy tannins on the center palate, giving tension and stature. The phenolics are thick and silky in texture. Persistent finish that suggests greatness. 58% cabernet sauvignon, 34% merlot, 4% cabernet franc and 4% petit verdot. Best after 2030. (James Suckling)

Decanter:

Fragrant spiced nose, blackcurrants and ripe plums. Smooth and satisfying, juicy and clean with plenty of grip but well balanced alongside ripe bramble fruit. Supple, generous, great depth of fruit. Impressive, and clearly a step up from many others in the appellation. Everything in balance but still giving a full mouthfeel, energy but restraint and great elegance. I love this. (Georgina Hindle)

Wine Enthusiast:

96-98. Barrel Sample. The wine has dark fruit and smoky aromas, with ripe black-currants and rich tannins. This is a fine vintage showing the complexity from this estate. It is full bodied but with layers of acidity to keep it fresh. Impressive and ageworthy. (Roger Voss)

The Wine Advocate:

A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon (harvested from the 20th to the 29th of September), 34% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, the 2023 Haut-Bailly offers up aromas of mulberries, cassis, dark wild berries, pencil lead, licorice and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, concentrated and rich palate that is both layered and seamless, its deep mid-palate animated by lively acids, concluding with long, mineral, penetrating finish. Although it displays a darker, more brooding profile character than in previous years, it remains highly representative of its terroir and will benefit from some patience. It's being matured in 50% new oak. (Yohan Castaing)
