Descrição

L'Évangile 2023 é um maravilhoso coupage elaborado em Pomerol. A casta combina magistralmente a Merlot e a Cabernet franc. Se nos anos anteriores a adega se tinha habituado à preponderância da Merlot sobre a Cabernet, a distribuição de 2023 revelou-se muito mais equilibrada. Como diz a própria adega de Bordéus, “nada é garantido, nada dura”.

A entrega deste vinho está prevista entre setembro de 2025 e março de 2026. Mais informações nas bases.

Descrição
Vinha situada numa posição privilegiada no planalto de Pomerol, entre Pétrus, La Conseillante e Cheval Blanc.
Clima
As altas temperaturas registadas durante o ano climático de 2023 aceleraram o processo de maturação, revelando deliciosas notas de frutos vermelhos na mistura. O ponto de inflexão é atingido e é criado um equilíbrio perfeito.
Colheita
Vindima manual entre 4 e 28 de setembro de 2023.
Vinificação
A fermentação em cubas é feita segundo o método tradicional de remontagem e maceração controlada com degustações frequentes.
Envelhecimento
Está previsto um estágio de 15 meses em barricas de carvalho francês.

Lovely, the is calm and collected, ripe but also really cool. Lovely texture, ample tannins but so well controlled that they fill the mouth but don't overpower. Lovely styling here, generous but elegance, powerful and concentrated but delicately delivered. This will have a great life and is just so enjoyable. One of the best Pomerols. Great texture.

James Suckling:

Mesmerizing aromas of blackberries, bark and hints of dark mushrooms, violets and chocolate. Medium-bodied with ultra-fine tannins that are polished and very long, bright acidity and a long and vivid finish. Rather endless. 78% merlot, 21% cabernet franc and 1% cabernet sauvignon. From organically grown grapes. Best after 2029, but already a joy to taste.

Wafting from the glass with deep aromas of dark berries, spices, licorice and petals, framed by a sweet patina of new oak, the 2023 L'Evangile is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a textural attack that segues into a supple, integrated core that's framed by sweet, powdery tannins. It's a blend of 78% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, checking in at 13.5% alcohol, that was harvested between September 4 and 28.
