Ettore Germano Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba é o vinho de maior sucesso da adega piemontesa. Elaborado a partir de uvas Nebbiolo das vinhas mais jovens da propriedade, localizada, como o nome indica, na aldeia de Serralunga, é um tinto intenso, potente e rico, mas com uma grande frescura e um toque ousado que o distingue de outros barolos da região.

The Wine Advocate:

Ettore Germano specializes in Barolo from Serralunga d'Alba. The wine that casts the widest net is the 2021 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba. With 15,000 bottles made, it opens to a dark color, powerful texture and a richness that supports dark fruit, black licorice, toasted aniseed and candied orange. There is a tart note of pomegranate as well. The wine definitely hits higher on the Nebbiolo intensity meter. (Monica Larner)

James Suckling:

A Barolo focused on fragrance and juiciness. Bright dried cherries, strawberries and fresh flowers, together with touches of citrus and pepper. Velvety and medium- to full-bodied with delicate, crisp acidity and a tight mid-palate. Savory and slightly austere finish, yet well balanced and approachable overall. More or less drinkable now, but best from 2026. (Aldo Fiordelli)

Decanter:

The estate’s village Barolo gathers up younger vines averaging 15 years old from some of Serralunga’s most esteemed sites. Cerretta forms the backbone, with Prapò and Lazzarito making smaller contributions. It boasts ample freshness, showing a youthful edginess rather than the mature or rich fruit tones of some of its peers. Spicy peppercorn and fennel meet wild strawberry and sour red cherry in this linearly drawn example. Crisp, chiselled tannins are an appropriate match. It should provide invigorating drinking over the next decade. (Michaela Morris)
