Vinha e preparação

Vindima manual da madrugada ao meio-dia para evitar as horas mais quentes do dia.
Vinificação
Seleção por meio de um olho ótico. Desengace das uvas e ligeira prensagem a 7-8 ºC para evitar a oxidação. Sem maceração, o mosto é fermentado em barricas de 600 litros de capacidade, novas e de segundo ano.
Envelhecimento
Estágio de 10 meses no estilo borgonhês, com bâtonnage duas vezes por semana. Controlo individual da temperatura de cada barrica.

James Suckling:

This is really something for a rosé. Very powerful yet subtle aromas and flavors of dried strawberry, sliced lemon, mineral and a pinch of salt. Some fresh-herb undertones, such as sage. Hint of coconut. It’s full-bodied, yet so tight and compact with fantastic freshness and length. Goes on for minutes. Drink or hold.

Wine Enthusiast:

This wine takes the concept of Provence rosé to the extreme. The wood aging is beautifully integrated while a whisper of toastiness adds to the richness and concentration. A deliciously textured rosé, its weight and density make it perfect for food. Enjoy in the near term.

Lightly smoky nose and nice, satiny texture and notably ripe fruit.

Decanter:

Perfumed nose of blueberry, wild strawberries and minty raspberries with toasty nuances. Bold yet refined on the palate with a persistent spicy finish. Quite charming.

The Wine Advocate:

A pale, coppery rosé, the 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose Garrus is largely old-vine Grenache with a splash of Rolle (Vermentino). Barrel-fermented and aged almost a year in a mix of new and used demi-muids, it's silkier and more refined in feel than the Les Clans, with the oak playing more in the background. It still hints at pencil shavings on the nose, paired with white peach, cantaloupe and citrus notes, and it is still full-bodied on the palate, but it's silky and fine, with a gentle underlay of stone dust and a long, lingering finish.
