O Inés, da Bodegas Vizcarra, é um vinho potente e mineral. Longe da robustez clássica, este tinto é uma lição de requinte e equilíbrio. Um coupage de Tinto fino acompanhado por um leve toque de Albillo mayor, que confere frescura e leveza. Um vinho profundo, com uma estrutura bem definida, mas com um coração terno de frutos pretos, flores e uma textura sedosa muito cativante.

Vinhas plantadas na localidade de Mambrilla de Castrejón, na província de Burgos.
Idade
As vinhas de Tinto Fino têm 70 anos e as de Merlot, 30.
Solo
Cascalho e argilo-limoso.
Vinificação
Elaborado por decantação por gravidade. Selecionado em dupla triagem (cacho e baga) e desengace antes da fermentação, que decorre durante 20 a 25 dias em barricas abertas de 400 litros e em depósitos de betão de 2000 litros, com 3 agitações diárias e a uma temperatura de 29 ºC. Fermentação malolática em barrica.
Envelhecimento
Cerca de 18 meses em barricas de carvalho francês (90 %) e americano (10 %).

Decanter:

Perfumed with ripe black forest fruit, cherries in chocolate liqueur and sweet baking spices. Fine concentration on the palate, the elevated fruit concentration perfectly balanced by the intense but successful oak regime. Moreish powdery tannins will hold this wine effortlessly, in the glass and in the bottle. Enjoy with a good steak.

The Wine Advocate:

As I commented in the note for the Celia, the 2022 Inés is more voluptuous and showier than its sibling—it's creamy, toasty, smoky and spicy, It fermented in 50% open-top 400-liter barrel and 50% concrete vats and matured in 400-liter French and American (10%) oak barrels for 16 months and a further three months in a 2,000-liter oak vat. It hits the scale at 15% alcohol, but perhaps the small percentage of white grapes (3% Albillo from the same vineyard as the Tinto Fino) gave it an extra spark of freshness. It has some tannins that would welcome some more time in bottle, and the oak should also integrate further with bottle age. 2,000 bottles and 60 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2024.

James Suckling:

Good depth and complexity, with aromas of rich but fresh plums and berries and touches of chalk and warm spices. Fine-grained, dusty tannins on the palate, with a medium to full body and a long, chalky finish. Drink or hold.

Tim Atkin:

Now made from Tempranillo and 2% Albillo Mayor - it used to have a Merlot component as well, this is a wine that reflects the heat and drought of the 2022 vintage, but is none the worse for that. Made with grapes from the 68-year-old Finca Inés in Mambrilla de Castrejón, it has some subtle reduction, a sturdy carapace of tannins, inky fig and damson fruit flavours and 1% American oak for a hint of baking spice sweetness. 2027-35
