Descrição

Vinho elaborado principalmente com Tempranillo, embora provenha de vinhas antigas de Villabuena de Álava, onde coexistem outras variedades minoritárias que se misturam com a principal. Apenas foram produzidas 600 garrafas nesta colheita, que se apresenta concentrada, mas mantém uma boa acidez. Rico numa ampla gama de aromas frutados e com muito futuro pela frente.

Descrição
Cinco microparcelas com vinhas situadas na área de Villabuena de Álava. Cultivadas de forma ecológica, são vinhas com um rendimento inferior a 500 gramas por cepa.
Solo
Argilas ocres e lastros de origem calcária a diferentes profundidades, dependendo das parcelas.
Vinificação
Fermentado e envelhecido em barrica durante um ano. A fermentação é espontânea e não é filtrado nem clarificado.

The Wine Advocate:

Unfortunately, I found the 2017 NAHI Tempranillo quite oaky and also marked by the challenges of the vintage, which, combined together, gave it a harsh texture and a strict personality. This comes from five micro plots of very old vines in the village of Villabuena de Rioja, planted with mixed varieties that are also the source for a white wine. This is mostly Tempranillo with some Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo. Perhaps with more time in bottle? It fermented and matured in barrique. 676 bottles were filled in November 2018.
