Típica de un riesling de gran terruño, con aromas cítricos, flores blancas y pedernal.
Boca
Seco y potente, con gran complejidad realzado por una acidez cincelada. Expresión amplia y finamente subrayada por sus notas minerales.
Consumo
Tras 7 años de crianza, expresa todo su potencial. Se desarrollará aún más, ganando plenitud y cuerpo con el tiempo. Tiene un potencial de guarda de al menos 20 años si se conserva entre 12 y 15 °C, protegido de la luz y con suficiente humedad.
Combinação
Perfecto con erizos de mar, ostras, langostinos, pescado asado o con salsa de mantequilla, cangrejo de río, bogavante, mollejas, pollo asado, tagliatelle y champiñones chanterelle, verduras.

Viñedos plantados en la zona de Ribeauvillé, con una privilegiada exposición sur y sureste, situados a una altitud de entre 250 y 350 metros sobre el nivel del mar.

Composición margocalcárea y calcárea.
Clima
El microclima de Ribeauvillé, con un viento fresco nocturno proveniente del valle —conocido como Thalwendala—, frena la maduración en verano y preserva la concentración aromática y la acidez. El invierno es templado gracias a las abundantes lluvias de primavera. El verano resulta soleado y caluroso, con un pico de temperatura a finales de agosto que favoreció una óptima maduración de las uvas. El otoño, fresco pero soleado, ofreció unas excelentes condiciones sanitarias.

Vendimia manual.
Vinificação
Las uvas se trituran y se prensan delicadamente en una prensa neumática. Se vinifica en estilo seco en depósitos de acero inoxidable y toneles viejos. No realiza fermentación maloláctica ni crianza prolongada sobre lías, con el fin de conservar frescura, vivacidad y aromas afrutados.
Engarrafamento
Se conserva un mínimo de 6 años en la bodega antes de ser comercializado.

The 2019 Riesling Frédéric Emile is precise and savory on the nose, blending the ripe and intense fruit of the Geisberg with a rather coolish and purely mineral or rocky tone of the Osterberg (?) that is reminiscent of melting salts. Tight and with lots of tannins on the palate, this is a full-bodied, highly energetic and vivacious Riesling with a long and tensioned as well as complex finish that pairs the ripe and dense fruit with structural elements to create something new and impressive. It's very long and saline yet still too tight to be opened today. 14.1% stated alcohol. Tasted at Trimbach in November 2024.

This great dry Alsace riesling has hugely generous, irresistible aromas of fresh and candied citrus fruit, together with white and yellow peaches. Very chalky and concentrated on the medium- to full-bodied palate. The very long, deeply structured finish makes it plain that this masterpiece is just beginning to give its best!
