A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, the Belguardo Mazzei 2020 Maremma Toscana Rosso Riserva Tenuta Belguardo is a solid and contemporary wine that shows precise and clean winemaking and quality fruit. The wine navigates the hot vintage well by showing soft blackberry, plum and velvety tannins over generous texture. (Monica Larner)
Dark shimmering ruby at the core, fine rim. Elegant and multi-layered nose of dark chocolate, ripe blackberries, coffee and a touch of sealing wax. Spans the palate with a velvety texture of firm tannins and concentrated fruit, round into the long finish.
Spot-on balance between freshness and ripeness here with cassis, tobacco, pencil shavings, dark cherries and some black olives to the nose. This is juicy and medium- to full-bodied with fresh tannins and a long, fruit-oriented finish adorned by some fine spices. Drink now. (Zekun Shuai)
